A public service foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Their mission is to reduce avoidable blindness and severe visual impairment by raising awareness about eye disease and care, providing free eye health educational materials and facilitating access to medical eye care. In addition to their online educational materials, they offer multiple eye care programs for which individuals may qualify. The Foundation’s mission is to find the cause, prevention, treatment and cure for macula vision diseases with the goal of saving sight and providing public education, advocacy and support to those with macular degeneration.
